Who We Are
Telford Dads is a multi-year project developed and delivered by Challenging Perceptions, funded through Telford & Wrekin Council’s Family Hubs programme. The project is dedicated to supporting fathers and father figures across Telford and Wrekin, helping them feel confident, connected, included and supported throughout their parenting journey. Through a range of activities, including peer support, one-to-one sessions, parent and child groups, workshops and community events, Telford Dads provides opportunities for fathers to build relationships, share experiences and access information, advice and guidance. The project also works closely with local organisations and professionals to champion father-inclusive practice, ensuring dads are recognised, valued and actively involved in their children's lives. Our aim is to create a community where every dad feels heard, supported and empowered to play a positive role in their child's development and wellbeing.
At Telford Dads, we believe every dad deserves to feel supported, valued and confident in their role as a father. We’re here to help dads navigate the ups and downs of fatherhood, build stronger relationships with their children and connect with other dads who understand the journey.
We know that becoming a dad can bring new challenges, questions and pressures, and it’s not always easy to know where to turn for support. That’s why we’re creating a welcoming, friendly space where dads can talk openly, access support and discover new opportunities for themselves and their children.
